Andy is the Associate Director of King Essentials at King Philanthropies. In this role, he plays a leadership role in King Essentials’ due diligence and strategic grantmaking. He brings to the team a wide-ranging professional background spanning the private, public, and philanthropic sectors with a focus on climate change and the environment. Prior to joining King Philanthropies, he spent five years with Silicon Valley Community Foundation as a Senior Philanthropy Advisor and the Director of Donor Engagement leading a team that supported and strengthened the charitable giving of some of the country’s most generous philanthropists. Before the community foundation, he was a consultant at Redstone Strategy Group, a strategy consulting firm for some of the nation’s leading foundations and nonprofits, where most of his engagements focused on climate change and the environment. Andy holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University as well as an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management with a focus on the nonprofit sector.
