GLOBAL SCHOLARS

Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program provides students with full funding to attend one of the seven graduate schools at Stanford University. It is the largest fully endowed scholarship program in the world. The program recruits high-potential students who combine a keen intellect with a civic-minded perspective and an independent spirit.

Along with scholarship funding, the program offers a platform for purposeful leadership development. Knight-Hennessy Scholars enjoy mentorship opportunities, attend specially created events and workshops, and collaborate with the university’s vast community of deep thinkers and accomplished leaders. They also benefit from closely interacting with a diverse, multidisciplinary cohort of fellow scholars.

In 2012, Bob and Dottie King made a $100 million gift to fund a cohort of Knight-Hennessy Scholars from low-income countries and to establish the King Global Leadership Program, which provides leadership development opportunities to all Knight-Hennessy Scholars.
